Project Architect

Griffin Katzenmeier is a passionate architectural designer and recent graduate with a Master of Architecture from KU (University of Kansas). He's an avid Chiefs and KU fan, finding joy in both analyzing and playing football and basketball.

With a design-focused background, Griffin thrives on problem-solving and collaboration. He's part of a new wave of professionals aiming for smarter, more efficient, and integrated design and construction processes. His goal is to help clients achieve their ideal home through a data-driven, digital development approach, ensuring top-quality results from the Kala team.

Extensive travels have broadened Griffin's horizons, emphasizing the importance of appreciating his Kansas roots. He remains a small-town Kansas boy, no matter where he ventures.

While Griffin acknowledges architecture's collaborative nature, he finds inspiration in notable architects such as Peter Cook, Buckminster Fuller, Renzo Piano, and Glenn Murcutt. Their works beautifully integrate function, form, and cultural influences.

Griffin's passion for sports, love of design, and dedication to data-driven excellence make him a valuable asset. His ability to blend creativity with analytical thinking ensures the creation of spaces that harmoniously combine functionality, aesthetics, and cultural context.

What does generous mean to Griffin?

Giving back more than what you’ve received. His dad always taught him to leave a room cleaner than the way you found it. It’s all about giving more than you take.
