Kevin Gilbert

Right out of school Kevin began his career working on cars. With little experience in the industry, he managed to charm his way into a job at an auto shop in Lincoln, Nebraska. After working at three different shops in the area, he was sure he could do it better. Kevin ended up starting his own auto repair shop at 23 with a specialty in foreign and exotic cars - his favorites being Mercedes, Porsche, and MG. Some would say Kevin’s shop was THE SHOP for exotic cars in all of southeast Nebraska. Not Kevin though, he’s too modest to say anything like that.

While his passion has always been cars, he’s excited about working in the high performance home building industry. His experience in construction comes from projects he’s worked on himself and managed for his business. His auto shop was housed in an old car dealership built in 1917 with original elevators built for moving cars between floors. It’s safe to say there was a lot of work to do on the old building. 

Outside of Kala, Kevin continues to work on cars in his free time, he loves to ski, walk his dog, golf and spend time with his family.
