A key member of the Kala team is the Construction Manager who is responsible for managing the on-site verification of project specifications and requirements, and ensuring the delivery of the project on schedule. They collaborate with architecture, design, estimating, procurement, scheduling, and others to ensure the delivery and quality of work by trade partners, material suppliers, and vendors is to Kala standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fully understand the project and proactively solve problems before they impact scope, schedule or budget
  • Review, understand, and ensure compliance with construction drawings, shop drawings, material and installation specifications, and Kala building standards
  • Responsible for site preparation, cleanliness, and organization 
  • Collaborate with scheduling to plan the inspection process and be the on-site rep for all inspections
  • Confirm the satisfactory condition of delivered materials before installation
  • Ensure proper storage of materials in accordance with manufacturers’ requirements
  • Complete daily logs in ProCore by recording deliveries, work performed and on-site manpower, inspections conducted, and progress photos to ensure accurate project documentation
  • Manage project punch list in Procore by tracking outstanding items, assigning responsibilities and verifying completion

Requirements

  • Multiple years, start-to-finish, residential construction management experience with demonstrated skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to be in total control of multiple projects
  • Excellent, proactive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to use a ladder, operate hand tools and lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to learn and operate Procore and other software tools
  • Knowledgeable of building codes, design standards and inspection regulations
  • Bachelor degree preferred but by no means required
  • Customer service mentality
